Lilydale's 2009 Awards Night

Lilydale Squadron held it's awards night on the 8th of December. Our invited guests included Tony Smith MP, Federal member for Casey, opposition spokemen for communications. 'Mac' Job AOM, former Flying Doctor pilot and noted author, the Victorian Group's Group Excutive Commissioner, Judy Owen and other senior Officers.

We had a turbulent year in 2009 with the bushfires in the area and the loss of our building later in a mini cyclone in which the "Green Book" that tells all the Cadet's accumulated points for the year was lost. The only awards made for 2009 were:

1. The best new recruit. Cadet Jeremy Vieth

2. The most improved Cadet. L/C Liam Watts

3. Lilydale's Cadet of 2009 L/C Asher Pakula

All Cadets were presented with a Squadron present.

Lilydale Squadron is settled into our new home at the Coldstream Community Centre and is looking forward to 2010

Did it Really Happen?

You never know who may drop in at the Squadron at Lilydale.

I'm sure that all Cadets would be able to identify this plane for their GP exam. How did it take off again? I'll let you figure that out.

You decide if the photo is real or a fake? Let me know what you think. No prize for the correct answer
