Cpl Sam Ainslie of the Doncaster squadron was selectet as the Victorian Cadet of the Year in late 2008. In early 2009, he competed against the winners from other States, and was subsequently selected as the Australian Cadet of the Year.

We at the Doncaster Squadron are extremely proud of Sam's achievements. He is at present undertaking Flying lessons at Lilydale Flying Club, and has just completed his first solo flight. Well done, Sam, you are now well on your journey towards a career as a Pilot.
