last Saturday,
This was organised by Wing Capt David Hurst as part of  Moffat Wing.

Their were just on 40 inquiries for the day at least 8 of those were for
leaders.
Mr Hurst is in the process of finding a hall near by

 
Berwick Squadrons Grant

The Berwick Squadron received a Grant from the Victorian Youth Foundation tonight (5/7/10) 

of $1400. 00 this was funded by the Bendigo Bank

The Officer Commanding 1st Officer David Bladier and Cadets Leading Cadet
Abdul Mohammed, Leading Cadet William Lui and Cadet Shania Thomas accepted
the grant and Certificate

 
Ballarat Open Night

For those interested in aviation, the Ballarat squadron is the place to be, situated on the historic Ballarat airfield, the squadron welcomes all interested people who wish to become part of the Ballarat history as a member of the Australian Air League.

To help improve their membership numbers the squadron is holding an open night on Tuesday 13th July, Starting at 19:00hrs (7:00pm) and concluding at 21:00hrs (9:00pm). This night is being held at The "Ballarat Training Center", Building 60B Airport Access Road; Ballarat Airport.

NIDDRIE SQUADRON

Niddrie Squadron will hold an OPEN NIGHT on Thursday, 24th June 2010, (7:30pm to 9:30pm) at the Community Hall, Lake Street, Avondale Heights, 3034, Mel. Ref. 27 D 4.

This event, in conjunction with AIR LEAGUE WEEK, will showcase to prospective new Cadets the activities of the Squadron.

On the night, Flag and Drill demonstrations will be performed by Cadets and NCO’s, as well as Ball Games, and a Balsa Glider Competition for visitors, with prizes for the “Longest Time in the Air” and “Longest Distance Flown”.

This will be followed by a talk by the Education Officer, explaining “How an Aeroplane Flies”

At the end of the activities, a supper will be provided by the Squadron Branch Committee for guests and members.

Prior to this event, on Saturday, 19th June, a promotional day, highlighting Air League activities, will be conducted at Airport West Shopping Centre.

Come along, have fun, and meet the Cadets and Officers of this great Squadron.
