Drill
 Drill in the Australian Air League is designed to promote self discipline and leadership skills. Members start as a Cadet, the lowest rank, then progress to higher rank levels which enable them to the authority to command larger numbers of cadets.

The highest drill rank is Squadron Sergeant. Squadron Sergeants can sometimes command hundreds of cadets!

Victoria Group Review

Where Squadrons come together and use the skills that they have learnt to compete with Squadrons from all over the state. This review is organised once a year

Australian Air League Review

Where Squadrons come together and use the skills that they have learnt to compete with Squadrons all over Australia. This review is organised once every 2 years. Drill Training Days and Camps Victoria Group operates several training days and camps at various intervals throughout the year. At these training days/camps Cadets can increase there skills in advanced drill not usually possible at there own Squadron. Some of these camps include;

Ranks

Leading Cadet

The Leading Cadet rank is earned be Cadets who show leadership ability. The job of a Leading Cadet is to assist the Corporal.

Corporal

The Corporal rank is earned by Cadets who show the ability to lead small numbers of Cadets. The job of a Corporal is to command a Section.

Sergeant

The Sergeant rank is earned by Cadets who show the ability to command lage numbers of Cadets. The job of a Sergeant is to command a Flight.

Squadron Sergeant

The Squadron Sergeant rank is earned be members who show the ability to command multiple drill units containing large numbers of cadets. The job of a Squadron Sergeant is to command all cadets in a Squadron.

Drum Major

The Drum Major rank is earned be members who show an ability to command a Band. The job of a Drum Major is to be in charge of a Band. When not in a Band the Drum Major rank is equivalent to a Sergean.

Section A

 

Section consists of 5 cadets and 1 NCO in charge. it is the smallest Drill unit.

Flight A

Flight consists of 18 Cadets and 1 NCO in charge.

Flag Party

Flag Party

A Flag Party consists of 6 cadets and 1 NCO in charge.

Badges

The Drill department also conducts badge classes, they are;

Drill Proficiency Classes 3 to 1
